In order to extend the existing factory and build a new storage area, NOVIA Industries have awarded the construction of 350 Nos. foundation piles to Progress Foundation Specialists (PFS) Due to the soil conditions in the area and the elevation of the hard stratum, the foundation piles were working as skin friction piles. Special measures to prevent the negative skin frictions caused by the fill material between platform level and 5m depth were put in Place. Further, in order to verify the design assumptions, pile load tests were performed on some working piles.
